In the beginning of his visit to Aswan .. “Banna” discusses with “Hijazi” ways to develop agricultural activity in the province

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Dr. Abdel Moneim El Banna said that there is continuous and continuous cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Aswan Governorate to achieve sustainable agricultural development in the governorate, develop the agricultural sector in the governorate, and exploit all resources available to it.

This came during his meeting with Major General Magdi Hijazi, Governor of Aswan in the beginning of his visit to the province, to inspect a number of agricultural projects in the province of Wadi Saayda and Wooday Naqra.

The Minister of Agriculture said that there are directives from the political leadership in Egypt and the current government to work on the development of Upper Egypt as well as the border provinces, pointing out that the agricultural sector is one of the most important sources of national economy and is the basis for sustainable development. Al-Banna pointed out that the province of Aswan is one of the most important provinces where there are great opportunities to invest in the agricultural field in all activities related to the production of plant, animal, poultry and fish, allowing the possibility of establishing integrated agricultural projects because of the province enjoys a comparative advantage in the production of agricultural crops due to nature Soil and climate.

The two sides also discussed ways to eliminate obstacles facing agricultural development, increase agricultural production in the governorate, and how to overcome the obstacles facing farmers, as well as activating the productive village initiative which was launched by the Ministry of Agriculture in coordination with the Ministry of Local Development in order to create new job opportunities for youth.
